Hope you are all keeping well in this (almost) summery weather!
It has again been quite a busy week for us...
Jenny has just returned from a fabulous weekend of scrapping at the annual Scrapbooking Convention in Johannesburg, where she met and scrapped with some of the biggest role players in the scrapbooking industry. She came back brimming with new ideas and techniques which she will be sharing with us in the coming weeks, so be sure to pop into the shop to see the gorgeous layouts and mini books she made at the Convention (including a sneak peek at the new, GORGEOUS, Kaisercraft paper which will be released in October)!

We are awaiting the arrival of two beautiful new ranges from Simple Stories - "Baby Steps" and "Happy Day".
CLASS WITH RAYE
Join Raye Tonkinson on Saturday, 8 October, from 09:30 to 13:00 for a fun, easy class on stamping, inking and foil art. She will be teaching 3 single layouts, the themes being "Love Letters", "Live Life" and "Christmas". The cost is R150, which includes all the embellishments needed to complete the 3 layouts, tea/coffee and delicious cake. More details and sneak peeks will follow soon, so watch this space!

Jez's beautiful work is up on display in the shop, and her albums are available for viewing so that you can choose which of her layouts you would like to do. Alternatively you can bring in your own ideas and Jez will help you pull it all together. Booking is essential, so phone us today on 041 - 363 6666 to claim your spot!

Our scrapbooking challenge is well under way with our clients doing some beautiful work. If you would like to take part and stand a chance of winning a fantastic hamper filled with scrapbooking goodness, the notes and competition rules are available in-store for you to collect. The cut-off date for submissions is 30 September 2011.

WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY...
I am sure most of you know this already (especially those of you that attended our Birthday Function), but we can now officially announce that we have a new team member on board.
Jessamine Banfield will be joining the i-SCRAP team as from today, and we would like to wish her the warmest of welcomes!
Jez is well known for her creativity and scrapbooking talents, and we are very excited to have her on our team. Here are some examples of Jez's beautiful work...
Jez will be teaching classes at i-SCRAP (yes, we are FINALLY offering classes!), Monday to Friday, morning or afternoon, but booking is essential.
You can view more of Jez's stunning work and her album in the shop, and from there decide on what project you would like to do, or you can bring in your own design and Jez will assist you with putting your page together.
Class fees are only R50 per lesson, so be sure to pop in and book a class with our new, very talented, teacher!

So much news, so little time...
... so let's get straight into it, shall we?
NEW PAPER RANGES
The new Kaisercraft Christmas ranges arrived today (yes, we are gearing up for Christmas ALREADY!). "December 25" features the traditional red, green and gold Christmas colours, while "Silly Season" will appeal to those that prefer a more modern approach to Christmas celebrations with its vibrant pinks, lime greens and silver accents.
These ranges are both gorgeous, and literally started selling before we even had a chance to unpack all the boxes! Silly Season in particular is proving to be very popular, and has already sold out at The Wholesaler, so be sure to pop in and grab yours soon! (At the moment we have the complete ranges in stock, including all the embellishments and stamps, but there is no guarantee as to how long this will last!).
As an added bonus, the first 20 ladies to come in and stock up on some Christmas yummie-ness, will receive a complimentary Kaisercraft Workshop magazine, featuring fabulous ideas of what all you can do with their Christmas 2011 ranges!

- Create a double page layout based on the layout notes available in-store. The theme for this layout is "I love to scrap".
- Make the layout your own by using your own choice of paper, embellishments, techniques, etc. You can follow the instructions as closely as you want (or not!), as long as we can see that your layout was based on the original notes you got from us.
- Hand your completed layout in at the store by 16:00 on Friday, 30 September 2011. With your permission, layouts handed in before this time will be displayed for all to admire your work!
- The winning layout will be judged by the following teachers: Elizna Parsons, Kim Smith, Raye Tonkinson and Jenny Spicer.
- Entry fee is R30.00

Another bumper weekend...
Hi everybody,
We are exhausted, but VERY happy and satisfied after a very succesful Creative Expo. Thank you to everyone who came and said hello and supported us at our stall - we had quite a number of our "regulars" come and visit us, but we also met a LOT of new customers. A big 'thank you' must go out to the organisers for a very well planned event! We have a few of our Expo specials left, so come and pop in during the week and get yours before they sell out completely.
Until we chat again, stay warm and keep scrapping!
PS: Stay near your phone tomorrow, as we will be announcing the winner of our fabulous lucky draw...

PICNIC
Hi ladies,
Our apologies for your comments not being posted on our blog. It was, as Anel's husband would say, a "PICNIC" problem - "Problem In Chair, Not In Computer"!
We have rectified it (thank you Cariena for pointing it out and helping us fix it!), and we look forward to any other comments from you.
With VERY miserable weather outside, use this weekend to catch up on some me-time indulging in your favourite hobbie, or if you just want to snuggle under a warm blanket, pay us a quick visit at the Expo where we have fantastic international magazines on sale for only R35! A cup of hot chocolate and a stack of magazines to find inspiration in, and you are set for a lovely weekend in bed!
